The boom in VR technology is bearing fruit. There are more and more applications and models of virtual reality glasses. You must admit it is one of the coolest projects to emerge in recent years! And yes, it may not be super useful, but we are talking about virtual reality with your smartphone. Incredible, isn’t it?
With just a piece of cardboard cut into a shape and a compatible smartphone –a 5” screen and full HD resolution will do-, anyone can access a great range of virtual worlds. Virtual trips from your armchair, 3D landscapes, experience viewers, concerts and a lot more.
They say that virtual reality is here to stay. In fact, we have designed our own Ideus virtual reality glasses and they will shortly be available online. There are some really interesting apps, games, documentaries, trailers, films, etc. for users to enjoy virtual reality in simple devices and with any smartphone.
Below is a list of a dozen available applications that you mustn’t miss, perfect for entering the 3D world. You’d better believe it! They are definitely worth checking out.
1. Cardboard
With the Cardboard application, you can load your favourite virtual reality experiences, discover new applications and have your own viewer.
2. VRSE

3. Cardboard Camera

With this game you control a futuristic racket with head movements and prevent your opponent from scoring points. Do you think you would be able to reach over 50 levels? It is a classic game with an entirely new perspective.
5. YouTube VR
You can now see YouTube videos in virtual reality. Google has made all YouTube videos compatible with Google Cardboard and they can be seen in virtual reality. They are currently only available in Android devices.

Watch out because you are not wanted here. Discover a story of terror and suspense, with two sisters in the leading roles. A game made for virtual reality technology. Do you dare?

The New York Times is embracing virtual reality. A new trend mixing journalism and virtual reality. Journalism in virtual reality.
360-degree video not only offers the chance to feel as if you are where the camera is but also to see how we live in the world. You will be able to see videos associated with the news and documentaries.
10. The North Face: Climb
And now for some adventure! Experience the emotion of climbing a mountain and doing base jumping together with professional athletes. The app includes 360-degree tours of the Utah peaks and Yosemite park, among others.
11. War of Words VR
War of Words takes you to a battlefield during World War I, based on the Siegfried Sassoon poem “The Kiss”. Prime your rifle for battle and attack your enemy with your bayonet. All this and a lot more in a carefully designed and original virtual reality experience.
12. Insidious VR
Another great application for having a terrorific time is Insidious, an app directly related to the film of the same name.
This is a short film to guide you through a terrorific story that will make your hair stand on edge. Use your headphones for an enhanced experience.
